Abstract: As two fundamental modes of human production activities, the integration and interaction of culture and economy constitute the deep logic of civilization evolution. From the proposal of the concept of “cultural economy” to the rise of “humanistic economy” practice in the new era, promoting the integration of culture and economy is the theoretical mainline and practical requirement that runs through this evolutionary process. Marxism's thought on the dialectical relationship between culture and economy, the economic ethics thought in the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and the practice idea of the pioneering areas of Chinese path to modernization are the ideological origins of “the integration and development of culture and economy”. After the proposal of “cultural economy”, the value orientation of comprehensive human development, the interactive logic of cultural economy and economic culture, the coordinated development goals of material civilization and spiritual civilization, and the mechanism of “moistening things silently” constitute the theoretical connotation of “integrated development of culture and economy”. The innovation of the path of “cultural and economic integration development” in the practice of humanistic economy in the new era is mainly reflected in: adhering to the principle of putting people's livelihood first in the value dimension, leading high-quality development with the new development concept in the conceptual dimension, achieving “qualitative transformation” in the mutual promotion of culture and economy in the time dimension, and promoting the inheritance and development of civilization in the “spatial production” in the spatial dimension.
