Abstract: Private enterprises are an important subject of poverty governance and have played an important role in poverty alleviation. Since the founding of New China, the participation of private enterprises in rural poverty governance has gone through a development stage from exploration to deep involvement, from small-scale intervention to overall and comprehensive participation. During the period of poverty alleviation, the poverty alleviation by private enterprises presents such characteristics as the precision of poverty alleviation concepts, the integration of poverty alleviation strategies, the diversity of poverty alleviation methods, the innovation of poverty alleviation means, and the comprehensiveness of poverty alleviation goals. Facing the era of rural revitalization, private enterprises should actively participate in the rural revitalization strategy, pay attention to the coordination of interests, integrate social resources, attach importance to capacity building, and assume social responsibilities.
