Research on the Influence Mechanism of Proactive Personality on Resilient Leadership

Abstract: In the context of VUCA, resilient leadership has an important impact on the development of organizations and employees. How to enhance resilient leadership has become the focus of academic attention. Based on the trait activation theory, this paper explores the influence mechanism of proactive personality on resilient leadership. The results of the analysis of 319 questionnaires collected show that proactive personality is positively correlated with resilient leadership. Proactive personality has positive indirect influence on resilient leadership through job remodeling. The higher the degree of regulatory focus, the stronger the indirect effect. In addition, the mediating effects of regulatory focus on job crafting plays a moderating role. herefore, enterprises should continue to strengthen the cultivation of resilient leadership, design resilient leadership development projects, add“resilient leadership”index to talent evaluation criteria, build proactive personality training system, add proactive personality assessment in talent selection, and prioritize the selection of leaders with proactive personality and adjustment focus. Effectively activate the coordination and matching of individual characteristics and organizations, enhance the adaptability of enterprises to cope with volatile environments, and help enterprises sustainable development.
