Abstract: As China is gradually stepping into a popular leisure society, leisure culture has become an important field to explore and meet the needs of the people for a better life, and has become an important path to search for solutions to the problems of imbalanced and inadequate development. During the new era, the structural changes of the leisure contents, the technology aid to the leisure modes and the personality development of the leisure demand can all help to solve the problems of materialized, addicted and stereotyped leisure culture to a certain extent. However, it still affects the ecological environment of the survival space of human beings in a more subtle way. The continuous upgrading of leisure experience and the free and comprehensive development of human beings have brought new challenges to the ecological, healthy and innovative development of leisure culture in China. Therefore, the basic idea to meet the new challenges in the new era should be focusing on the comprehensive development of material resources and spiritual resources, realizing the unity of tools and value rationality, and achieving the consistency of the presentation and connotation of personality, which is also a new perspective to solve the main contradictions in China’s society in the new era.
